slow day.
We have a new girl in the office. Of course she's from France, like most of the other interns.
After being on the receiving end of a motivating earful of how our communication abilities are for the drain, we were allowed to return to our assignments.
Mine had a slight shift of focus: instead of working on a presentation which would flop due to short-noticeness on the audience's part, I was re-assigned to perfection the nursery. That means come up with an irrigation system and how to add necessary nutrients.
Also, I need to figure out how to certify, that means legalize the whole thing.
My supervisor at home advised to leave a certain space for creativity for the organization I'm working for. I have to admit, it's slightly challenging having so many projects running and not one really finished. A lot of balls in the air. And if not one gets finished while I'm here, I know I'll be frustrated when I wrap things up in two weeks.
At the same time, I know I CAN'T bring everything to an end.
That's just life.
I had to draw a line in the sand with one of my co-workers. I do understand the applied sense of humor, and sometimes it's even funny. I am just worried I will cross a line permanently hurting a good working relationship.
Further, I received some mind blowing information of Forestry diversity. Maybe, I am able to incorporate it into the preparations for thepresentation.
As I said rather eventless.
Talking to my new roommates, I discovered a common appreciation for a certain fictional English consulting detective (yes, Sherlock Holmes!!). To be precise, we both like the BBC series Sherlock. I was able to relate a few thoughts about the books:
they seem to be typical representatives of their time (not really a surprise), picking up twists at the end of the stories towards a not satisfying ending: sometimes, the villain gets away or the victim doesn't receive adequate compensation. As I said, I believe it's typical for that time.
Instead of desparately trying of making this more interesting, I should call it a day.
On the plus side: my sponsor finally sent the money. Let the fun times roll!!
