Bringing one...

chapter to an end, I'd have to start thinking about a new one.
Because today was the last full day in Dublin, I went on another photosafari combined with some geocaching.
Here are the results:

The Bayno, mentioned in a previous post
A  convent in the middle of the city
Headquarters Irish Citizen Army 1916
So-called Sweet Shop (one of the few Art Deco- buildings in Dublin area)
Now, just two random pictures:

According to our driver on Paddywagon, Whiskey means "water of life". Reading "water" in gaelic should give you an indication on how to pronounce it.

Taking German money and then making fun of us- gotta love AIB

Just looking out of the window in the dead of the night, there is a police helicopter circling sirens blaring and approaching, wonder what's going on.
Before I forget, I might refer to my friend as Molly, but THIS is the real Molly Malone (as real as a statue can get):

This afternoon, the hang-out crew

got together one last time. Molly and I went to a department store, where she was helping me picking some girly-stuff for my wife.
We then went on to Molly's place to at first do some more geocaching.
Again, same mistake, I gave my camera out of my hands...

She's getting better, I think :)
After geocaching, which I hope we all enjoyed, we returned to Molly's and had my farewell party: Surf 'n' Turf with cartwheel- sized steaks. They actually weren't too bad in price. Just in case, anyone is wondering.
When we were finally able to sit down and talk, it was a pretty good time.
Acting our age, "somebody" mixed me a nice little cocktail: water, ketchup (that's actually my fault and started the mixing), mayonaise, salt, pepper and garlic butter. I was promised to have my haircut paid, if I downed it in one go. My hair definitely needs a fix, I look like a radiant mushroom.
Well, okay, preparatory to consuming the beverage, I had the door to the backyard opened, the way cleared and possibly a few sticks of chewing gum ready, in case my stomach wouldn't agree with the idea of the liquid.
Surprisingly enough, everything went considerably well. Except Molly won't pay her debt. That's okay, I'll get you later!!!!
Before things could become too sentimental, we bid our farewells and Laetitia, Lucas and I headed back to the apartment.

For a long time, I was thinking about what to put as my last log-entry to commemorate my departure from Ireland and reuniting with my real family.
Because I am unable to come up with anything smart, I will repeat again, what I said earlier: I really enjoyed my time here and working in the same office as the French girls.

Anyone out there thinking about going on an internship and deciding against it, all I can say is this (and the chorus is important!!):

To my friends temporarily staying in Ireland: while you listen to this quietly, remeber to join in the chorus!!!

Since this is Ireland after all, one last word from a so-called but never admitted romantic to my friends:

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
